READ BEFORE STARTING
If you have connected Distributors to your AmmoReady storefront, due to how the AmmoReady platform utilizes and categorizes product data from our Distributor partners, it is NOT recommended to change any Categories (ie, changing a Category name, or removing it completely). This will cause your Distributor Catalog to break.
Only attempt adding/removing/editing the default Categories if you're ONLY selling Inventory you have uploaded yourself, and not using the Distributor Catalog.
Inside the AmmoReady dashboard you have the ability to adjust the product Categories that are displayed on your storefront. This includes what Categories are displayed in the Featured Categories Widget, as well as which product Categories are hidden from your storefront.
From your Dashboard go to Settings in the top right corner.
Click on the Categories tab.
Once on the Categories tab you will see the available product Categories on the left side and Featured + Hidden Categories on the right side.
Main Categories
On the left side you will notice the main top-level product Categories that are available for display on your storefront.
A blue Featured icon indicates the Category is selected for display in the Featured Categories Widget.
A yellow Hidden icon indicates the Category (and any sub-categories that fall under it) is hidden from your storefront. This means these products will not display for customers to view and purchase.
Click on the top-level Category to reveal the sub-level Categories underneath.
Clicking the gear icon or Edit button will bring up a new window with additional options, including adding SEO tags to your Category pages.

Click + Add Category to open a new window. This will allow you to fill out the necessary info to match what your Local Inventory requires. This will not map to Distributor products.
Featured Categories
The Featured Categories section shows what Categories will be displayed using the Featured Categories Widget. Please reference our Widgets guide for more information.
Hidden Categories
The Hidden Categories section shows what top and sub-level Categories are being hidden from your storefront currently.
*Note: If you do not see a certain product displaying on your storefront please check and see if it is categorized under a Hidden Category.
You can adjust this by locating any Category on the left side with a yellow Hidden icon and clicking the Edit button. A new window will pop up. Toggle the Hidden checkbox to display or hide the Category.
