Adding custom SEO tags to your AmmoReady storefront's pages is a great way to customize your appearance through search engines such as Google. There are three different ways to add SEO to your website:
Add SEO tags to your overall website
From your Dashboard go to Settings in the top right corner.
On the Store tab, scroll down until you reach the SEO box.
Here you can input a Meta Title and Meta Description. The Meta Title will override the default provided, usually your business name and address provided. This is visible in the browser tab. The Meta Description will add a description of your website that appears in search engine results.
Click Save Changes at the top of the page when you're done filling these sections out.
Add SEO tags to Catalog (Category) pages
From your Dashboard go to Settings in the top right corner.
Click on the Categories tab. Here we can add SEO tags to top level categories (e.g., Handguns) and sub-categories as well (e.g., Revolvers). For this guide, we'll only be adding SEO for the top-level category: Handguns. To reveal sub-categories, simply click on the top-level category name to reveal the list.
Click the gear icon and select Edit from the dropdown menu.
A new window will pop up. We're going to focus on the SEO Settings section of this new window. In this section you can add a Title, Description, Keywords, and an Image. All of these fields are optional. For the purpose of this guide, we won't be adding an image.
Once you've filled out the fields, click Save. You've now added SEO tags to this top-level category page.
Add SEO tags to custom pages
From your Dashboard go to Website > Pages.
On the next page, you can add SEO tags to an existing page, or create a new page and add tags by using the + New Page button. For this guide, we'll be adding SEO tags to our already existing page: Top Selling Firearms. Click on the page you wish to add tags to.
Once you've clicked through to the next page, we're going to focus on the SEO Settings to the right. In this section you can add a Title, Description, Keywords, and an Image. All of these fields are optional.
Once you've filled out the fields, click Update Page. You've now added SEO tags to your custom page.
