In this article, we'll walk you through the order fulfillment process. Once a customer places an order on your storefront, follow these steps to complete and fulfill the order, either via Distributor fulfillment or using your local inventory.
*Note: The order fulfillment process is not automatic. This means that once a customer places an order it must be manually fulfilled by you.
Due to the nature of dropshipping and how we receive product data from distributors, it's not possible to automatically process fulfillments. This is because products may be out of stock, different states have varying restrictions, and due to the nature of FFL items, you’ll need to contact the third-party FFL (if the customer isn't picking it up directly from you), among other factors.
From your Dashboard, go to Sales > Orders.
On the next page, click on the order you wish to fulfill.
You will then be brought to that specific order's information page. Here you can review customer shipping/billing information, the items contained in the order along with any local/distributor quantities available. You will also notice our Threat Assessment tool. Please review this article for more information.
Select one or multiple items you wish to fulfill in this order. You will then see a few options for fulfillment.
Fulfillment Options
FFL Items
If the order contains FFL restricted items the Shipping details will indicate this by stating the items need to be shipped to an FFL.
Just below the payment information, you'll find the FFL Recipient form. This section will display the third-party FFL that the customer has selected for either you or the distributor to ship the item to. It's required that you obtain an up-to-date copy of the destination FFL's license and upload it to the order. Click Select FFL Document to upload the file.
Once submitting the type of fulfillment you've chosen, a new fulfillment will be created.
If you selected Ready for Pickup the fulfillment process is complete.
If you selected Mark as fulfilled you will have already or will need to ship out the order yourself.
If you selected Fulfill via distributor, please follow the next steps.
Click on the fulfillment number to view the fulfillment information.
Next, you must submit the fulfillment to the distributor.
Once that is complete, the fulfillment will update as the chosen distributor sends us tracking data, etc.
*Note: If you encounter any issues with tracking information delays or fulfillment submission delays, please reach out to your Distributor. Confirm with them that they’ve received the order and are in the process of fulfilling it. AmmoReady only receives what data is sent to us via Distributor so they will have a better idea of any issues.
The final step is to Close the order once you confirm that it has either been picked up or delivered. You can do this by clicking the Close button on the order's information page located in the top right corner.
